Greetings, data innovation enthusiasts! This is the second update about the West Big Data Innovation Hub (WBDIH) Steering Committee Election process (read our initial call for nominations here) to announce the slate of candidates and open the voting period.
On behalf of the WBDIH Leadership Team, we are very thankful for all the nominators and candidate nominees. The Leadership Team reviewed all nominations and has prepared a slate of candidates for constituent voting. There were several review criteria, including leadership experience and diversity (e.g., geography, thematic area, sector) — and we encourage voters to consider these factors when participating in the election.
To be eligible to vote, you must be subscribed to the WBDIH mailing list and be a resident of a WBDIH state (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming). All emails will be cross-checked against the WBDIH list for voting verification. Anyone found gaming the system will be disqualified. Voting is open for two weeks: today through July 12.
This election process is a way for us to build connections across our 13 states and strengthen our community. Please encourage colleagues to participate: any new subscribers to our mailing list during the voting period will automatically get an email message inviting them to vote with a personalized link.
Meet the Steering Committee Nominees HERE and vote for up to 5 nominees by July 12!
