I’m an Associate Professor at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where I work on genetics and genomics and lead the Lab for Data Intensive Biology. My primary research focus is on new data structures and algorithms for moving from raw data to decision making, with a strong emphasis on sequencing data (at the moment). I am heavily invested in open science, training, open source software development, and reproducibility. In 2014, I was awarded a Moore Foundation Investigator grant in Data Driven Discovery. I am on Twitter at @ctitusbrown (twitter.com/ctitusbrown) and I blog regularly at ivory.idyll.org/blog/; all my source code can be found at github.com/ctb/. My full CV is here.
